Ryan Mutter was born 1978 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art where he graduated in 2001. Like many great artists he began by teaching, but quickly found the demand for his own paintings was growing to such an extent that he decided to concentrate on full time painting in 2005. He has now won several distinguished awards, including three consecutive years at the Royal Glasgow Institute, and his work can be found in collections around the world
